About Cedar & Stone

Cedar & Stone Handyman has been doing small home repairs in south Jerusalem since 2016, which is 10 years of wardrobes, wall brackets and doors that had stopped closing properly.

The work is deliberately narrow. Three services, three neighbourhoods. That is not modesty: it is what makes it possible to say we can come this week and mean it, and it means arriving at a flat in Baka or the German Colony already knowing roughly what is behind the plaster.

Working in English

Plenty of people in these neighbourhoods are more comfortable arranging a repair in English than in Hebrew, and getting a quote you cannot quite follow is a bad position to be in. Every part of the job here happens in English: the first call, the price, the explanation of what is actually wrong, and settling up.

How we quote

You get a price before the work starts, not after it finishes. Send a photo on WhatsApp and most jobs can be priced without a separate visit just to look at it. Where a cheap repair will do, we will say so: a door that has started catching is usually a hinge, not a door that needs replacing, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a door.
